Business ecosystems have become a source of value creation and innovation, across industries, and no more is this evident than in emerging markets, where traditional industry verticals and legacy organizational structures are leapfrogged by nimble players. In Africa, the current population of 1.4 billion, is projected to double over the next 30 years. With rapid urbanization and a young workforce, African cities are giving rise to attractive ecosystem-based businesses – in Mobility, Financial Services, Energy, Health and several other industries.
To contribute to the dynamic developments in this space, the Center for the Future of Organization at the Drucker School of Management (CFFO) is delighted to announce a strategic partnership with Ascent Growth Partners, a consultancy specialized in ecosystem-driven growth in emerging markets, with offices in South Africa and Singapore.
As part of this new alliance, Saar Ben-Attar, Managing Partner of Ascent’s Johannesburg office, has been appointed a CFFO Executive Fellow. In this role, he will be working closely with CFFO to develop local research projects, executive education programs and consulting engagements to help companies and their leadership teams tap into the many opportunities that business ecosystem-based strategies present, in these dynamic markets.
